I get asked this A LOT. So here it goes. If your theme does not have a way for people to “ask” or “submit” questions, it is very simple to add. The link to the “Ask Me Anything” page is whatever your tumblr url is, /ask.
For example, if you wanted to ask me a question on my personal blog, you could go to:
However, if you would like to add a link to your page manually, just copy and paste the following code, and add it to the description of your blog.
<a href="/ask">ask me anything</a>
That’s it.
If that doesn’t work, then the theme you are using probably doesn’t have the code that allows people to ask a question. In my case, a lot of my themes were submitted well before tumblr added that functionality, I will be updating all of my themes very soon.
UPDATED: Also, if you’re using any custom HTML in your theme, when a theme gets updated, your tumblog will not be updated unless you “Disable Custom HTML” under the “Theme” tab on the “Customize” page. However, if you decide to ”Disable Custom HTML”, you will lose any custom HTML you’ve added.
UPDATED AGAIN: You may also want to try clicking on “Customize” then clicking on “Community” and then making sure that the box that is labeled “Let people ask questions” is checked. If that box isn’t checked, people can’t ask you questions.

This is the ninth theme that I’ve built for tumblr. I needed a little help naming this theme, so steffaloo named it “peapod”. You can customize almost every color of this theme, including the post icons. It syncs with twitter and can display your latest tweet. And, you have the ability to show/hide your avatar and theme links. It’s simple and fun. Click HERE to install it, or visit peapodtheme.tumblr.com to see it in action.

This is the eighth theme that I’ve built for tumblr, and this one’s a winner. It’s called “cardstock”. It has a custom background and over-sized icons. You can add a custom header. It syncs with twitter and can display your latest tweet. And, it looks pretty awesome. Click HERE to install it, or visit cardstocktheme.tumblr.com to see it in action.

Lucky number 7. My seventh theme is called “megapixels”. It has over-sized pixels as the background, with the ability to change the background color behind the pixels. You can also add a custom header. Click HERE to install it, or visit megapixelstheme.tumblr.com to see it in action.

here’s a notebook style background that can be used as a background of the home screen on the new iPhone 4 or any device using the new iOS 4 operating system. click on the image below to get a higher resolution image. feel free to take them and use them and if you do, I’d love if you tweeted @rocketshake and let me know!

7 notes link >I just finished my sixth theme for tumblr. The theme is called “cellblock”. It has a static sidebar so your tumblog description and information can be displayed while you’re scrolling infinitely through an individually organized posts in a narrow, centered blog format. Click HERE to install it, or visit cellblocktheme.tumblr.com to see it in action.

Infinite Scroll is something that is swiffering the blogosphere. Instead of continuing to click “next page” over and over, it just loads the next page for you as you scroll down the page you are on.
If you use tumblr and want your blog to have this feature, follow these easy steps…
Copy the following code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://static.tumblr.com/q0etgkr/mFbkoqlkr/tumblrautopager.js"></script>
Next, go to the dashboard on your tumblr, click “Customize”. Go to the top menu, click on “Theme”, then click on “Use Custom HTML”.
All the code from you blog should appear in the window.
Paste the code at the bottom of the <head>:
<head>
all of your css code
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://static.tumblr.com/q0etgkr/mFbkoqlkr/tumblrautopager.js"></script>
</head>
Again, the code that you pasted should be the very last thing before the </head> tag.
Save. Refresh. Scroll Infinitely.
